LeBron James is having a tough time with the Lakers in the 2022-23 season. The Los Angeles Lakers had an abysmal start to the season, with the recent loss taking them to a 0-5 record in the league. It is a big blow to the team as this is the worst start the yellow and purple have had since 2014. The team is facing a lot of flak from the fans as they move forward in the season.

James had good things to say about his teammate, but the fans couldn’t care less about it as they were disappointed and angry.

LeBron James and his words go unnoticed

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers do not have any mercy from the fans as they continue their poor run of form. Many issues plague the current Lakers side, and most of those have been discussed. There have been talks about the lack of good shooters on the team as their 3pt shooting percentage is 23.7% in 2022-23.

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Lakers 111-102 recently. In the post-match interviews, the 18-time All-Star praised Westbrook’s play coming off the bench. “He was great all game”, the Lakers superstar said

Russell Westbrook came off the bench against the Timberwolves and finished with 18 points, playing 33 minutes, the most he has played this season. King James mentioned that Westbrook’s efforts catapulted the team to move to a better position in the game.

But all of this didn’t move the fans as they criticized the whole team heavily.

The fans have been brutal with their jokes. Some Lakers fans mentioned how a 6th consecutive loss of the season could have a resemblance with James’ earlier jersey number with the Lakers.

Fans, as always, started comparing Michael Jordan and James. The lakers have been dubbed as the most poorly constructed team by many.

Lakers slow start to the 2022-23 season

The Lakers for now have only one thing to look forward to, the all-time scoring record staying home. The record will have a new owner very soon in the 2022-23 season. LeBron James is also very close to achieving a historical feat, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s points record.

However, the Lakers cannot afford to lose more games this season, and certainly not the next game on the calendar. Although their chances of making the playoffs seem extremely thin, losing hope at this stage would be very demotivating for the fans.
