Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian exchanged vows in 2011. In order to make the ceremony look spectacular, the reality star made all the arrangements she needed to make the day look beautiful. 

Then, a few months later, in October, it debuted on E! The show’s title was ‘Kim’s Fairytale Wedding’. Their wedding was loved by almost everyone. One of the most shocking things that came up was that Humphries and Kardashians did not spend a penny on their wedding. 

In fact, in the aftermath of the ceremony, they got even richer. Despite burning through $10 million in her bank account on her wedding, Kardashian ended up $17.9 million richer. 

The simple answer as to how they did so was to turn the wedding into a media event. Every aspect of the wedding was planned, from the photos to the decorations. It is reported that People magazine received the exclusive photos from the ceremony for $2.5 million.

In addition to this, they did several other things to increase their bank account balance. Furthermore, airing the wedding show on E! made them a lot of money. Due to this, Ryan Seacrest, the producer of the show, and the Kardashian franchise reportedly earned $12 million to $15 million.

In response to this, LA celebrity event planner Tony Schubert spoke about the wedding and how it was planned. It was also mentioned that many vendors gave discounts to the couple. They provided them with publicity in return. “It benefits the vendors, their goods and services [to be] shown to millions of people,” the event planner said.

Besides all these discounts, usually one of the most expensive things at a wedding is the dress. For the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians‘ star, it came at no cost. She received three Vera Wang gowns valued at $20,000 for free.

Aside from that, she also received free champagne worth $400,000 from Perrier Jouet. In addition to these things, Lehr & Black also provided free invitations worth $10,000. And the TV star received discounts and gifts on a variety of other items as well.
