Former NBA star and businessman Shaquille O’Neal recently revealed that the King of Pop once showed interest in buying his mansion. Yes! you read that right. Apparently, Michael Jackson showed up at O’Neal’s doorstep out of nowhere, offering to buy his house. However, the recipient of the Grammy Legend Award had to face disappointment when Shaq refused to sell his property. The former Los Angeles Lakers star revealed this piece of information on an episode of DrinkChamps.?The long chat with the four-time NBA champion was released on October 8, 2022.

Similarly, Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando mansion looks like something that came straight out of a fairytale. It is hardly a surprise that despite owning a stunning mansion himself, Michael Jackson wanted to acquire the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s house as well.

Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando house was listed for sale in 2018 and was sold in 2021. The 31,000 sq. ft. mansion has 12 bedrooms, 11 baths, a luxury pool, home theatre, massive aquarium, and a wine bar, among other attractive features. The property was listed at $28 million, but the price reportedly dropped and was sold for an unrevealed amount.
During a fun chat session with DrinkChamps, the Big Aristotle recalled the time Michael Jordan showed up to his house.

“MJ showed up at my house and tried to buy my house in Orlando. Yeah, he just showed up at the door,” said Shaq.
Furthermore, he added, “He looked around the house, he’s like, ‘I want to buy the house’, and I’m like ‘It’s not for sale.'”

Talking about mansions, Michael Jackson had his very own private amusement part complete with a zoo and a Ferris wheel. The King of Pop bought the Neverland Ranch in 1987 situated in Los Olivos, California. MJ reportedly paid $19.5 million for the estate. The name of the estate was inspired from Peter Pan, where the titular character wished to never grow up, an idea that MJ liked.
