The $250 million film, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water,‘ is one of the most awaited films of 2022. James Cameron’s second Avatar outing will release on December 16. It is a sequel to his first film, ‘Avatar,’ released in 2009, which garnered over $3 billion. Due to the immense success of the first film, the fans already have high expectations from the sequel. However, on the contrary, the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal was seemingly disinterested in the film. Moreover, he also refused to watch the film for one specific reason.
In one of the recent episodes of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq,’ Shaquille O’Neal sat down with his regular companions, Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams for a chat. They delved deeper into several intriguing topics. However, Shaq’s refusal to watch ‘Avatar” The Way of Water,’ was one of the key moments of the podcast that caught the attention of many viewers.

Shaquille O’Neal refuses to watch Avatar: The Way of Water
At the start of the podcast, Turner notified everyone that she was joining the podcast from London. The co-host was in London to attend the premiere of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. Therefore, amidst the podcast, Turner asked Adams to watch the movie with his kids when it is released in theatres. However, Shaq interrupted Turner and asked her to stop.

Moreover, Shaq said that it should not be called a good movie until the kids view it personally and give their opinion on the film. Besides that, the Lakers legend also said regarding the film, “I’m boycotting, boycott Avatar bluewater.com”
Shaquille O’Neal’s statement implied that he wanted Turner to get off the hype train prior to the film’s release. His statements, however, made it clear that he would only comment on the film after giving it a watch.
