Dennis Rodman was an exceptional player on the court and he made sure to have a good time after the games. Rodman was known for his partying habits and he regularly partied after games. The Chicago Bulls legend had a short but eventful spell with the Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside Shaquille O’Neal. Interestingly enough, Shaq once happened to walk into one of Rodman’s wild parties and it was a surreal experience even for the Big Diesel.

In his book ‘Shaq Talks Back’, Shaq recounted the details of that party the included some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., and others were all present at the ‘dark’ party which forced Shaq to escape.

Shaquille O’Neal once escaped a party hosted by Dennis Rodman

NBA legend Dennis Rodman and partying are almost synonymous at this point in time. The five-time NBA champion has a knack for partying and has some of the wildest partying stories. Rodman and 7-foot-1 inch center Shaquille O’Neal spent an eventful time together at the Los Angeles Lakers. After a game, O’Neal happened to run into a party hosted by Rodman.

In his book, the four-time NBA champion recounted details of that wild party that included some big names of the film industry too.

Shaq wrote, “I once walked into one of those parties. Leonardo DiCaprio’s there. Robert Downey, Jr., he’s there. All these cats making weird faces. It’s dark as hell. People are drinking. D. Rod popping Cristal champagne, showing off. A lot of stars. A lot of girls, some of them taking their tops off.”

Interestingly enough, seeing the visuals at the party, Shaq decided to get out of there quickly. Apart from the big names, there were a lot of girls who happened to be topless at the party as well.

Shaq once called Rodman his worst teammate

Dennis Rodman’s off-court activities hardly affected his performance on the court. However, there have been times when he has disappointed his coach or teammates through his actions.

Shaq once talked about how Rodman was his worst teammate ever. During an edition of The Big Podcast with Shaq, The Big Diesel called Rodman his worst teammate while talking about how he made it very hard sometimes.

He revealed that while others were present way before time, Rodman would arrive 15 minutes before a match. Moreover, when the coach talked, Rodman would sometimes go for a shower midway. Such antics frustrated his teammates and the coaching staff.
