Dennis Rodman had a traumatic childhood growing up that made him unpredictable and a mystery as an adult. Back when Rodman was an infant, his father Philander Rodman Jr. left him and his mom to be with someone else. Growing up without a father, Rodman faced some critical challenges in his life and got involved in some bad company. However, basketball gave him an opportunity to leave behind his past and establish himself as one of the greatest legends of the game. Notably, Rodman ignored his father’s attempts to reunite with his long-lost son later on in life following his meteoric rise to fame.
In his 1996 autobiography ‘Bad as I Wanna Be’, Dennis Rodman claimed that he had not seen his father in thirty years. Therefore, he did not see a point in missing him. However, years after abandoning Dennis Rodman, his father claimed to have made efforts to reconnect with his son.
