Then, Dennis presented Drew Barrymore and co-host Ross Matthews with a black ‘The Showdown – Rodman, Barrymore’ shirt. Excited and overwhelmed by this gesture, Drew Barrymore asked Rodman a simple question. She says, “Let me ask what makes you the kind of person that comes bearing gifts? How are you so gracious?”
“I am just gracious because a lot of people gave me opportunities,” Rodman humbly replied.
Rodman has always been giving. In a 1990 article, Rodman speaks about his actions of giving money to a homeless woman. He says, “I had $250 in my pocket, and I gave it all to her. If I had $1,000, I would have given her that, too.”
