NBA legend Dennis Rodman is one of the most flamboyant players to step into the NBA. He made many headlines for his fashion choice. There was even a time when NBA insiders called him “NBA’s weirdest player”. Despite this, he never shied away from wearing whatever he wanted. Also, the fans loved the five-time NBA champion’s boundary-pushing individual style.?

The first thing that comes to mind when someone hears the name Rodman is the outrageous things he has done during his career. It also includes him wearing a wedding dress. Yet, back in 1997, Rodman refused to wear a particular outfit.?

According to him, it was an outrageous ensemble, and it was something that he doesn’t want to wear. But what outfit made the “rebellious” Rodman embarrassed?

In 1997, Dennis Rodman made an appearance on the Late Night Talk Show with Jay Leno. Rodman was at his usual best wearing an all-black outfit. During the show, he refused an outrageous outfit. Leno suggested he has put together an outfit for Rodman. He said, “Well, you know, I put together, I was trying to picture an outrageous outfit for you. So we had our art department draw it up. See how you would look in this.”

However, Leno then showed one of Rodman’s old pictures where he was wearing a suit with no accessories. As soon as he saw the picture, Rodman broke out laughing. Rodman then replied, “It’s not me”.

Even in the NBA 75 celebration, Rodman chose to do his own thing. While most legends sported a suit, Rodman was seen wearing a sweatshirt underneath the jacket with sweatpants.

The Chicago Bulls legend has not always been the “rebel” he has been for years. He recently shared when exactly he became “rebellious.” Rodman disclosed he became a “rebel” after the Detroit Pistons made some changes to the team as a result of losing to the Bulls. He admitted he has been a “well-mannered” individual before that.

The changes made left Rodman feeling helpless, and he became “rebellious.” However, he also admitted he would have had a boring life had not become what he is now.
