Dennis Rodman was one of the best players in the league. He was part of the Bad Boys Pistons in the 1980s. Along with Isiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer, Rick Mahorn, John Salley, and Joe Dumars, were the most feared team of that time. Their rivalry with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls was the highlight of the 80s-90s basketball. The Bad Boys were known for their extremely physical gameplay and were called so because they had success playing that way. They won consecutive NBA championships.

The guy with the crazy haircut was ruthless. His rough and physical mindset was the feature of his game. Dennis played as a forward and he was the master of rebounds. Some might even call him the most underrated player of all time. Apart from this, there was one more thing Dennis was famous for. Just like Jordan had an influence on the world of shoes, Dennis also had popularity.

With the Complex on YouTube, Dennis revisited his famous sneakers. The royalties, as they called them, Dennis was asked about the shoes. They were white Nike Basketball sneakers and Dennis shared an interesting fact about the pair.

“This shoe right here actually, outsold Michael Jordan for two years. It’s a true story. He knew it. I mean, his number one shoes besides you know the Jordan but everybody loved this. Even today people buying this shoe.” Shared Dennis.

He was asked about how he felt when his shoes became that famous.

Dennis answered, “It was a coaching one. But you know at the time I didn’t really realize how much this thing was [going to] really actually work to people yeah kids you know. You got the Michael Jordan’s, got Scottie Pippen’s, all the guys and stuff like that. But at the time I didn’t realize that this was really so popular. I started sending people in there, in the stands, on the street, right. I’m actually sending shoes. Yeah they did something really cool with this shoe. So I’m like thank you”
