Dennis Rodman is one of the most fearless players to have played in the NBA. ‘The Worm’ put more than 100% effort in every time he was on the basketball court. We have often seen Rodman diving into the crowd just to save the ball from going outside and landing on the spectators or on the hard floor. However, it did not stop the five-time NBA champ to make the effort to get the ball back in.

A few years ago, American musician Billy Corgan talked about his buddy Dennis Rodman’s “freakish strength”, leaving the UFC color commentator Joe Rogan shocked in awe.
Back in 2017, Billy Corgan appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Corgan talked about his friendship with Dennis Rodman and revealed how strong the former NBA legend was despite weighing just 228 lbs. Billy Corgan used to hang out with Rodman a lot when he was at the Chicago Bulls.
Billy Corgan gives an account of Dennis Rodman and his strength
The 55-year-old reckoned that Rodman had freakish strength for his long 6’4 height. His physical features seemed lacking compared to other stars like Shaquille O’Neal who was around 325-340 lbs. Billy Corgan added, “You wouldn’t look at him and think muscles. And Rodman could pick a 250 lbs man with one hand and lift him over a rope.”
The popular music celebrity witnessed Rodman showing his unbelievable strength with his own eyes. Corgan saw Dennis lift a man at the club who was acting out with a single hand to get rid of him. Billy’s revelation left Joe Rogan’s jaw dropped. He was quite enthused by Rodman’s unnatural strength.

Corgan also pointed out that Dennis used to guard Shaquille O’Neal one-on-one back in the day. Shaq is 7’1 tall and quite heavily built. Despite the physical advantage, Rodman was not afraid to go one-on-one against the four-time NBA champ. While Rogan and Corgan did not really figure out the source of Rodman’s freakish strength, they were impressed by how Dennis surprised the spectators with his courage and fighting spirit on the court.
