Dennis Rodman Confessed He Didn’t Feel Good Enough for “The Bad Girl of Entertainment” Despite Being an NBA Champion: “Why Me?”

NBA legend Dennis Rodman was one of the most controversial stars ever. Despite being a great player, he had a fair share of issues both on and off the court. Rodman also dated his fair share of celebrities. But none more popular than the ‘Queen of Pop’, Madonna. However, Dennis felt he wasn’t good enough for ‘The Bad Girl of Entertainment’, despite having a Hall of Fame resume.

Rodman and Madonna’s relationship was short-lived. But it was highly intense and publicized. However, Rodman questioned why she was with him in the first place. As the ‘Queen of Pop’, she could have been with anyone, but she chose to be with Rodman. And this was something Rodman didn’t understand.

Back in 1996, Rodman was on the Oprah Winfrey show where he talked about his new book and his life. Oprah asked him questions about his relationship with Madonna. She even asked where Rodman mentioned in the book that he thought he wasn’t good enough for Madonna.

Rodman said,” I always thought why is she after me? You know because she told me certain things and I’m like, she can have any man in the world, anybody in the world, but why me?

“Then it started to hit me, I got tattoos, I’m like was the rebel of the NBA, she’s like the bad girl of entertainment”

He realized that both of them were very similar and that gelled them together. Rodman recalls one incident where Madonna came to Las Vegas to take him back.

Rodman says he was with another one of his girlfriends. And Madonna sent her assistants to get Rodman to talk to her. She even booked the room next to Rodman. Rodman says Madonna asked him if he loved her, and if he should come home with her. Things got emotional and Rodman and Madonna returned together again and went home.

But this was also very short-lived as they went their separate ways a couple of weeks later. The former couple lasted only a few months, but their romance was heavily followed. Rodman may have doubted himself in the start, but he realized that they were alike, and his doubts went away.
