It isn’t news anymore that Kevin Durant is looking for a way out. The Brooklyn Nets faced their biggest obstacle as soon as Durant sent in his trade request. The 12-time All-Star is the biggest force on their roster. However, the continuous failure in the postseason has made Durant lose patience. The road so far has been clear for Brooklyn as they are trying to find a fair trade. But they may be taking a reverse way, trying to give their best player a reason to stay. And their first move could be on the way as they look at a current teammate of LeBron James.
Dwight Howard is by far one of the best players in this era of basketball. His time with the Orlando Magic was legendary. The former three-time DPOY led the way for them. He became one of the best players in the NBA and made it to eight All-Star games. In 2009, he even led Orlando to an NBA Finals appearance against his current team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

At 36, Howard certainly has a much more reduced role than in his prime. However, that doesn’t mean the former 3-time DPOY can’t assert himself in the mix. Howard has the ability to add quick points coming off the bench. As a man dominant inside the paint, having an elite playmaker like LeBron James helped him immensely. Moreover, Howard knows how to pull valuable boards. In the previous season, Howard averaged 6.2 points and 6 rebounds in just 16 minutes of action per game.
