Despite the Lakers enduring a poor season, LeBron James has been carrying his team with some formidable performances this season. In fact, in the Lakers’ most recent loss to the Warriors, LeBron almost had a triple double with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists.

However, the 2 point loss meant that the Lakers dropped to a 26-31 record and will continue to fight hard, not for a title, but for simply a chance at the postseason. In light of the Lakers’ poor season, dejected fans on Twitter called out the ‘King’ for being drunk at Super Bowl LVI. They expected LeBron to be concerned about turning things around for the Lakers rather than enjoying and being carefree.
The Lakers are currently 26-31 and 9th in the West.

Twitter Reacts to LeBron James
In light of LeBron enjoying and having a good time at the Super Bowl, there were several fans blaming him for not being worried about the Lakers’ current situation.
Yeah! If only he put that attitude in his games. Remember when he played in the Olympics and had fun? Instead of whining through games like he does now! I like watching players that enjoy their craft.

Lebron is ONLY still in the league because he wants to play with Bronny.
I really don’t think he cares too much about how any team is doing.— 𝔐𝔦𝔤𝔲𝔢𝔩🏴☠️ (@zevahcleugim) February 14, 2022

It is quite evident that the Lakers’ fanbase want to get back to their winning ways as soon as possible. For a team that has won 17 titles, success is of utmost importance. But it isn’t LeBron who is to blame for the Lakers’ poor season. The ‘King’ has been consistent and has rarely ever messed up. In fact, he recently made history for becoming the player with the most number of combined points. So, it’s up to the rest of the squad to up the ante.

Despite suffering their 31st loss of the season, the Lakers still have a chance of making it to the postseason and battling it out for a title. This is especially true after the fight that the team put up against the Warriors in light of their poor season. Although LeBron missed the two clutch free throws, he has made sure to consistently perform at a high mark. In fact, his scoring and passing has accounted for 28.3% of the total points scored by the Lakers this season.

Clearly LeBron and the rest of the squad do not seem to have a problem with offense as the team averages 111 points per game. But there is a problem with defense. At present, the Lakers defense allows 112.6 points a game which is the 5th highest in the league. Maybe it’s the age of the squad that is preventing them from being strong on defense.
Regardless, the LeBron needs to inspire his Lakers to step things up. At 37 years of age, it’s now or never for LeBron to win it all.
