Former Laker Lamar Odom revealed that the late, great Kobe Bryant still visits him in his dreams. The 42-year-old shared in a recent interview how the Mamba still inspires him despite being in a different realm. Odom further described how he and Kobe Bryant shoot around in the gym in his dreams amid valuable words of advice from the Lakers legend.

In his lifetime, Kobe Bryant has inspired millions of people with his exemplary philosophy on life. After his untimely demise in 2020, he still continues to inspire countless lives through his legacy and immortal views on human lives.

Kobe touched many lives vicariously through his performances on the court. Therefore, it is only natural that he deeply impacted those around him who spend time with him.

Lamar Odom’s relationship with Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant had a deep impact on Lamar Odom’s life. The Lakers forward shared a locker room with him from 2004 to 2011. In their years playing together, they won two world championships and made countless memories.

Odom revealed Kobe’s deep influence on his life in an interview with TMZ. In fact, he revealed that the Mamba still comes to his dreams to motivate him to keep going. “[Kobe’s] just talking to me all the time,” Odom said of his dreams. “‘Hang in there. Keep fighting.’ A lot of s***.”

To me, he’s like not too far away. Especially when you’re dreaming of someone, and they talk to you in that dream, you’re definitely going to remember it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lamar Odom showed the reporter a neck tattoo of Kobe meant to honor the legend. Moreover, he was seen wearing a Kobe and Gigi pendant on his chain in memory of the father-daughter duo.

Lamar Odom’s struggles in life

Life after retirement has not been easy for Odom. In fact, the 2011 NBA Sixth Man of the Year has had to deal with serious substance abuse problems in the past. In 2015, he had to be rushed to the hospital for a drug overdose.

Odom was comatose for a long time. While in a coma, he suffered multiple health emergencies, including kidney failure, multiple heart attacks, and strokes.
