A year back, Barkley had ended up disappointing his daughter with an outspoken take.

Things, however, have not always been this funny and warm between the father and daughter. When Barkley weighed in on child birth with a controversial take, his daughter was incensed at him.

During last year’s Mother’s Day, the Inside the NBA crew celebrated the special day with mothers of TNT insiders. The hosts gave a shout-out to their mothers, and they conducted a quiz for the hosts. Soon, one of Charles Barkley’s earlier takes on child birth emerged on the live TV. During an old episode of Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley said, “Women be milking that baby thing too. It can’t be nearly as bad as playing a basketball game with a sprained ankle.”

Soon after the old video was shown on TV, Charles Barkley’s daughter Christiana Barkley came up with a Mother’s Day message for him. “Hai Dad, it’s Henry and I. I’m just taking a break from celebrating my very first Mother’s Day because I saw a very disturbing video an hour ago. You said that playing an NBA game with a sprained ankle is much more painful than child birth and that ‘women be milking that baby thing.’ I just want to say that a sprained ankle is a spa treatment compared to giving birth to an actual baby,” Christiana said. “And an NBA game is 48 minutes, and some women, myself included, are in labor 48 hours.”

Fast-forward to a year from this live TV session, the Chuckster disclosed who Christiana is currently crushing on.

In his recent appearance on an episode of the New Heights podcast, Charles Barkley had a free-wheeling interaction with NFL stars and brothers Travis and Jason Kelce. Prior to this appearance, Travis Kelce had appeared on Barkley’s The Steam Room podcast. During the latest show, the Chuckster revealed that his daughter took a keen interest after she got to know that he was hosting Travis Kelce.

“My daughter, who I don’t even know paid attention to my podcast, called me and said, dad, you had Travis Kelce on the podcast? I said we had him on last week. She says, please stop right now. Please stop,” Barkley said. The 60-year-old then revealed that he was never a big fan of his daughter’s crushes. Likewise, she also despised Barkley’s treatment of her guests. While it is true that Sir Charles and Christiana share a close bond, Barkley’s indifference towards her guests and his aforementioned outspoken take have invited the latter’s displeasure.
