Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green avoided a suspension after his physical altercation with teammate Jordan Poole. Green punched Poole in the face following a verbal disagreement during practice on October 5. The incident happened a couple of weeks before the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors handled the incident internally after the video of the incident went viral. The matter was discussed thoroughly in the presence of Green, Poole and Stephen Curry.

Eventually, the franchise decided against a suspension for Green and fined him as a disciplinary action. However, recent reports have suggested that Draymond Green might be annoyed with the Golden State Warriors team for one reason.

Green took a few days off after his physical altercation with Poole. He rejoined the team ahead of their last pre-season encounter. The four-time NBA champ spent 25 minutes on the court, scoring 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported sensing an ‘iciness’ between Draymond Green and the rest of the Warriors team.

Draymond Green seemed ‘annoyed’ for this reason

It is believed that the Warriors franchise and team are in favor of Jordan Poole regarding the incident. The lack of trust in Green is likely to create some tension within the team. However, Green seemed to be annoyed with his team during the season-opener victory over the Lakers. San Francisco Chronicle columnist Scott Ostler talked about Draymond Green’s frustrations during the 123-109 win. Ostler wrote, “In the second half, Green seemed annoyed when he was subbed out.”

The reaction from the four-time All-Star suggested that he was not happy about getting substituted by coach Steve Kerr and wanted to keep playing. Meanwhile, the Athletic’s Anthony Slater claimed that a trade for Green was not on the cards. But the Warriors forward will need to earn the team’s trust back as they feel Jordan Poole was wronged.
