Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen is known for his basketball prowess, but made headlines recently for a different reason altogether. Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa made her relationship with Pippen’s ex-teammate and NBA icon Michael Jordan’s son Marcus public earlier this year. Since then, fans and the media haven’t been kind to the 6x NBA Champion Pippen.
A few days after Larsa shared moments from her romantic vacation with Marcus, fans took to social media to target Scottie again. Pippen has maintained a relatively low profile after retiring from the NBA. Moreover, his relationship with his legendary teammate Michael Jordan went downhill after the release of Jordan’s docuseries, The Last Dance. Compounding the setback, fans constantly drag him into mock-fests whenever they find an opportunity.

After maintaining his silence on Larsa and Marcus when he was approached by reporters a few days ago outside a restaurant in Beverly Hills, Scottie Pippen tweeted to interact with the fans. However, things didn’t go as he probably intended as fans began mocking the former Bull. He tweeted four pictures of himself in a superhero outfit, which seemed AI-generated, and wrote, “Can’t decide which superhero to be. Help me out!”

While some fans complied with the veteran’s request and made their picks, one section began ridiculing him. One user wrote, “Shouldn’t you be a sidekick?”
The tweet came a few days after reporters picked on Pippen with uncomfortable questions. One of the reporters asked, “Has Marcus reached out to you? Everyone wants to know how you feel about the relationship.” The Bull stayed silent and walked out of the situation. After Larsa shared moments from her romantic getaway with Marcus Jordan, fans used Scottie’s tweet to pick on him again.
Fans turn up the heat on Scottie
Fans on twitter added insult to injury, further mocking the NBA veteran for his superhero tweet. The majority of the fans have always considered Pippen to have been Michael Jordan‘s loyal ally on the court. Several fans called him a ‘sidekick’ in their responses. Here are some reactions from NBA Twitter.
