Days After Responding to Open Challenge Call, Victor Wembanyama Sits Down With Spurs Legend to Watch Game Films

After storming the 2023 NBA Draft with #1 pick, the French baller, Victor Wembanyama has been making headlines with his recent activities off the court. The San Antonio Spurs star is currently exploring the country before his rookie season in the NBA. Apart from enjoying his first long-stay in the US, the star is also gearing up for the upcoming challenge. Notably, a recent picture of Wembanyama watching game reels with a Spurs legend surfaced on social media. 

After the San Antonio team won the first pick in the draft lottery, fans almost confirmed the 19-year-old star’s spot in the Spurs’ roster. Wembanyama’s inclusion in the Spurs roster came in as a guiding light for the Spurs family as the team continued to disappoint its fans in the last 5 seasons.

Wembanyama’s sports agent Jeremy Medjana uploaded a photo of the French star taking lessons from the 4x NBA Champion on Instagram. The picture featured the stars catching up with basketball reels as they lunch. The caption of the post read, “Lunch with a Spurs legend and a brand new Spur.”

Notably, the Spurs legend and Wemby were catching up with the U-19 basketball action of the French team.

While Wembanyama reached New York for the Draft week, he strolled across the city and met a lot of people. However, an interaction with a young boy landed him in a tricky situation. A video of the boy’s tricky challenge also surfaced on the internet, garnering a lot of reactions from fans. The boy asked, “can slam dunk over somebody…and it’s you.” Meanwhile, the star generously responded to the boy, saying, “Alright, I’ll see you in the NBA.”
