It’s only been days since the Michael Jordan-Isiah Thomas rivalry heated up once again. The Detroit Pistons legend demanded a public apology from His Airness for calling him an ‘a**hole’ on National TV. His proposition became a major point of discussion among several media outlets. But it seems Zeke isn’t done making headlines just yet. Recently, while doing a telephone interview with ESPN, the two-time champion’s antics on national TV caused an uproar among fans.
The moment in question is from his appearance on ESPN’s radio show, ‘Keyshawn, JWill & Max’. Upset by his picture, the NBA Hall of Famer took a short exit from the conversation.

Zeke was a guest on the morning radio show. As he was getting ready for the conversation, Thomas noticed a rather dejecting detail. All guest introductions prior to the Pistons legend had radiating images. However, ESPN chose a disgruntled photo for the Bad Boy Piston to show on the television screen. “Pictures say a lot” is the belief Zeke lives by. Hence, he didn’t approve of ESPN’s choice.
Despite the hosts and him laughing together, there was a tone of seriousness in the conversation. Thomas’ proposal was simple, replace the picture with one which showcases his true personality. He specially mentioned former NFL star Keyshawn Jackson to take care of the matter. “You supposed to be helping me out here,” said Zeke to his good friend.
Even after updating his photo, Thomas felt it didn’t embody him as a person. What happened next shocked the entire ESPN studio. The two-time NBA champion hung up the call and gave ESPN a chance to repair the image once and for all.
It might seem that Isiah Thomas had overreacted by disconnecting from the other end over a picture, but later in the show, both Max Kellerman and Keyshawn Jackson felt Zeke made a point. How would you feel seeing a picture of Magic Johnson with anything but a smile on his face? Or how would it feel to see a picture of Kobe Bryant playing for a franchise other than the Lakers? A picture does speak a thousand words.

While Thomas was a ‘Bad Boy’, he most certainly isn’t the mean character that the picture portrayed him as. And he has the right to stand up for his beliefs and expects fair treatment.
