Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has been a source of great inspiration for quite a lot of contemporary NBA stars. Some of these stars have even sought the Lakers veteran’s help. Kobe had interestingly mentored these youngsters who came to him for guidance. One such star had recently touched up on the lessons Kobe had taught him. Now, he has agreed that Kyrie Irving can mirror the teacher in Kobe Bryant and bring forth a significant impact on a young baller’s career.

Kyrie Irving is one of those stars who defines the present-day NBA. Apparently, it is quite obvious that young stars of the day look up to Irving. A 21-year-old does exactly the same and longs to learn from Irving the way certain stars have learnt from Kobe.

The Houston Rockets star Jalen Green has recently had a free-wheeling conversation with the 8x-NBA All-Star Paul George in the latest episode of?Podcast P with Paul George.?At one point, the 21-year-old and the co-hosts brought in Kyrie Irving to the discussion. Green has remarked that he wants to learn from Kyrie Irving, if he ever chances to. Furthermore, Green added that he has got Irving’s number with him. Co-host Jackie Long was quick to give the young baller an advice.

Jackie Long asked Jalen Green to hit up Kyrie Irving and ask for his guidance. Long immediately shed light on how Paul George had once sought Kobe Bryant’s help. As Long puts it, Kobe Bryant gave Paul George a long lesson and notes when he had asked Kobe for help. Jackie Long added that Kyrie Irving will give a similar helping hand to Green, the way Mamba helped George.

Apparently, Jalen Green was repeatedly asked to quickly hit up Irving. Paul George agreed to the entire conversation and even once remarked, ‘Kyrie is a teacher too.’

Prior to the Jalen Green episode, Paul George spoke at length about Kobe’s helpful gesture to DeMar DeRozan in another episode.

Kobe Bryant’s impact on an 8x-NBA All-Star’s career

During a post-season, the Portland Trail-Blazers gave Paul George a tough fight. The 8x-NBA All-Star had then sought Kobe Bryant’s guidance to overcome the tumult. PG-13 sent Kobe a couple of videos and asked him how to overcome the defensive threat of the opponents. The Black Mamba was quick to respond and gave the All-Star guard a lengthy note to improve his game. According to PG, the 5x-NBA champion had then written two paragraphs to mentor him.

Kobe’s notes did the work. George went on to net around 40 points in his very next game. Therefore, according to PG and his co-hosts it will always work if one seeks a veteran’s guide. Having tried and tested his luck with Kobe, the Clipper star gave a nod to Jalen Green who longs to learn from Kyrie Irving.
