The NBA community will wholly agree on the fact that Shaquille O’Neal was among the best to have ever played in the NBA. The ‘Big Aristotle’, as he is popularly known, dominated his opponents and won 4 NBA championships. Moreover, he was a force of nature who struck fear in the eyes of the opposition. Down in the low post, he was unstoppable with his unreal strength and speed.
Although Shaq has stepped away from the sport, his children have taken up basketball. Among these are Amirah O’Neal, Shaqir O’Neal and Shareef O’Neal. While Shareef plays for his father’s alma mater, Amirah and Shaqir are among Texas Southern University’s brightest stars. Furthermore, Amirah shared a massive update on her brothers in light of the NCAA tournament.

Clearly, this is a big step for both brothers, as they attempt to become stars like their father. Moreover, Shareef in particular will look to make an impact, since switching schools from UCLA and joining LSU. Moreover, Amirah’s sharing of the update indicates the tight family bond and support that the O’Neal siblings have for each other.
Shaquille O’Neal at LSU and the NBA
As mentioned above, Shaq is a legend of the NBA. However, before he stepped into the NBA’s spotlight, he was already creating plenty of noise at LSU. Over the 3 years and 90 game stretch with the Tigers, Shaq averaged 21.6 points and 13.7 rebounds. This dominance led him to be drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1992.

Shaq took off immediately after joining the Magic. In fact, he became an All-Star in his rookie season and made it to the NBA finals in just 3 years. Thereafter, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won the MVP award and 3 titles.
Furthermore, he reached the NBA’s mountaintop once again with the Miami Heat. Over his 19 year NBA career, the big man averaged nearly 24 points and 11 rebounds. He was inducted into the Hall-Of-Fame and even included in the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
