The February 10th trade deadline of the NBA is closing in. With only a day remaining, multiple deals are expected to happen as teams look to either strengthen their squad or go into rebuilding mode. One team that wishes to keep its title hopes alive is the Los Angeles Lakers. After their most recent loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Lakers will do everything possible to win games, even if that means trading star guard Russell Westbrook.

With Westbrook not playing up to mark as Laker fans would have expected, the point guard has been heavily linked with a trade away from the ‘Purple and Gold.’ One such trade scenario was revealed on Twitter and it involved multiple other NBA stars from 3 other NBA teams.

Russell Westbrook and the Star-Studded Trade Scenario

With a day left before the trade deadline, Laker fans would be more than happy to see Westbrook part ways with LA, especially if the ‘Purple and Gold’ receive a more valuable asset in return. One such trade scenario has emerged, and it involves Damian Lillard joining LeBron in LA.

The proposed trade idea involves 4 teams, namely the Los Angeles Lakers, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Brooklyn Nets. Furthermore, the deal appears to be an exchange of stars between the four franchises.

As per the trade, the Lakers would get playmaking and a shooting boost from Damian Lillard, while the Nets would get their hands on Russell Westbrook, who will be reunited with his former co-star on the OKC Thunder, Kevin Durant. This is especially beneficial for the Nets, as Westbrook can play in home games in the absence of Kyrie Irving. Furthermore, James Harden will join the Sixers forming a one-two punch with Joel Embiid where he can both score and play make under the leadership of former Rockets GM, Daryl Morey. Thereafter, the Blazers will get their hands on Ben Simmons, whom they can use to build a fresh roster around.

It is clear from this proposal that Lakers, Nets and 76ers can boost their title chances, while the Blazers choose to build a squad for the future.
