Damian Lillard has arguably been one of the top guards in the league for a while now. He is a player who can shoot from anywhere and can carry his team on a regular basis and is must watch TV.

Playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, Lillard has formed one of the deadliest back courts with CJ McCollum. Despite how impressive this duo has been, it has rarely translated to post-season success.

Prior to their playoff series against the Nuggets, the Blazers had only made it past the second round once in the last seven years. With the West wide open with teams like the Lakers and Clippers struggling, the Blazers had a real chance to make a deep playoff run this season.

Damian Lillard posts cryptic message after Blazers crash out of playoffs

This season’s post-season run also came to a screeching halt for the Blazers. With Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets defeating Portland 126-115, the Blazers crashed out in six games.

While players like Jusuf Nurkic and CJ McCollum underperformed, Damian Lillard certainly did it all for the team, averaging an insane 34.3 points, 10.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in the playoffs.

After their latest post season disappointment, Lillard put up a rather cryptic post. Quoting Nipsey Hussle, Lillard wrote, “How long should I stay dedicated? How long til opportunity meet preparation”

The 30-year-old is certainly frustrated with the lack of post season success that the Blazers have had. With a rather stagnant roster, Portland have failed to take a leap and become a championship level team.
