Ever since he has entered the league, the European superstar Luka Doncic has hit the ground running. Despite this year being just the third season of his career, Luka has already developed an insane reputation in the league.

The 22-year-old has been breaking records left and right since he stepped foot in the NBA. Tonight was no different for Doncic as he created history once again. But this time, it wasn’t during a game that Doncic broke a record.

The Mavericks star turned 22-years-old today, and he already has quite a few records to his name. For starters, Doncic is a triple-double machine, and that is nothing new. He had already recorded 32 triple-doubles before turning 22-years-old. What’s even more surprising is the fact that he has almost twice the triple-doubles than the second player on the list.

It is a known fact that Luka Doncic can fill the stat sheet on any given night. But to put things in perspective, Doncic has matched LA Lakers superstar LeBron James in one particular record.

Before turning 22, Luka had crossed 4000 points, 1000 rebounds, and 1000 assists in the league. He is only the second player in the history of the NBA to achieve this record. The first player is none other than LeBron.

If Luka continues breaking such records at the same pace, it’ll only be a matter of time before he becomes the face of the league. Furthermore, with LBJ retiring in the next few years, the throne will anyway be empty.

However, the biggest hurdle for Doncic will be to bring another championship to the city of Dallas. After winning the title in 2011, the Mavericks have struggled to repeat the same level of success.

But with Luka being handed the keys to the franchise, the team has a generational talent on their roster. Naturally, fans expect him to bring some hardware as soon as possible. While Doncic might deliver on that promise in the future, as of now, the Mavericks simply do not have what it takes to win the championship.
