Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen are in a relationship – and this one is going strong for about a year. The two have weathered several aspects that two people in love could face. They have faced backlash over their age gap. Some have also commented about the fact that they are related to two towering figures of the basketball court. Marcus is the son of Michael Jordan and Larsa Pippen is the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen. Both played for the Chicago Bulls. However, now the initial questions, theories, and answers have died down. The two are talking about more intimate aspects of being in a relationship, including having kids.

During a recent episode of their podcast, Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan, In the Name of Love and Babies on the Brain, the two spoke about the latter part of the title – and during that conversation, Marcus revealed something of an idiosyncrasy of his father, the great NBA legend Michael Jordan.

While on the topic of babies, the couple revealed on the podcast that Larsa had already frozen her eggs, and even in the Jordan family, Marcus’s brother was trying for a child.

Now, the subject of course broached Michael Jordan becoming a grandfather, and Marcus revealed, “My dad, being the competitive soul that he is, never really viewed himself as a grandfather. And so, I know, he is up against the inevitable, Father Time. My brother and I like to rub it into his face every chance we get. We call him grandpa, and all that stuff.”

Nobody is ever going to regard Michael Jordan as an ‘old man’

Jordan, of course, has nothing left to prove in the professional world. He is a global icon and often gets credit for popularizing the game outside America in the eighties and the nineties. He is not knows as ‘His Airness’ for nothing – he became popular for the leap throw and is one of the few basketball players to have his own shoe. In his career, he played for the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards and is a six-time NBA champion.

Michael Jordan is a grandfather, through his daughter Jasmine, who gave birth to a son. But even so, he can be rest assured, nobody is ever going to say ‘Grandpa’ to his face, except, of course, his actual grandson. Would you? Tell us in the comments!
