It’s not just tonight that these two came face to face. From Game 1, Green and Sabonis have taken it to each other. Physicality has been a common theme in their contest. However, things escalated a little too far when the four-time All-Star attacked Sabonis while on the ground.

With a fast break opportunity, the Warriors were ready to push the pace. However, with his back on the ground, Sabonis held Green’s ankle to prevent him from being the general on the play. Riled up, the four-time champion tried to escape, but he did so with vicious intent. After an initial try, the forward stepped on the Kings center to get free. The heavy hit left Domantas Sabonis riding in immense pain.

The outcome of Green’s decision was not surprising. He was assessed with a flagrant 2 for his violent intentions behind the stomp. On the other hand, Sabonis was handed a personal foul for initially holding his rival’s ankles.
