The Los Angeles Lakers remain one of the NBA’s most important franchises. Their massive success and achievements over the years have gained them a worldwide fanbase of basketball fanatics. The Lakers possess a star-studded roster including stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and others. Despite such star power, the Lakers haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to their season.

A wider fanbase also has its own consequences. NBA fans are known for taking things to the extreme for all events in the NBA. After the Lakers lost to the Sacramento Kings, a few fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment with the team. A few rival fans also trolled the franchise for a grim loss to the Kings.

The Lakers have suffered a dismal start to their new NBA 2021-22 season. An opening night loss to the Golden State Warriors highlighted their concerning team chemistry. A loss to last seasons’ NBA champions, the Milwaukee Bucks also raised serious doubts over the franchises’ title hopes for the season.

Fans react to the Lakers loss against the Kings

Fans on Twitter reacted in a hilarious fashion to the loss. Some also expressed frustration with the franchises’ dismal form. Fans took potshots at the new off-season signing Russell Westbrook. They insisted that Kings’ Buddy Hield would have turned out as a better signing than Westbrook.

The Lakers are one of the NBA’s most decorated teams with 17 NBA championship titles. Their recent NBA title win came in 2020 when talisman LeBron James rallied the franchise to win his fourth NBA title. They host the Detroit Pistons next and will be looking to improve their 10-11 record for the season.
