There have been multiple rumors about the future of Draymond Green and Jordan Poole with the Warriors. It was recently reported that Poole was “not sure” if he wants to stay. On the other hand, there is the Draymond Green contract situation. The four-time NBA champion has been one of the most important players on the team for years. Amidst this, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas discussed the future of the Warriors in his Gil’s Arena podcast. During the show, Arenas said that the Dubs were lacking bench strength this season. He then stated that the front office should try to convince Green to opt-out and then re-sign. He suggested this so that the team could have cap space to sign a decent non-starter.

However, co-host Josiah Johnson was not sure whether the 2017 DPOY would accept a pay cut. Arenas said that players in the Bay Area benefit a lot from Silicon Valley. So he believed Green would stay. However, Johnson was still curious if anyone else could convince the four-time NBA All-Star to move.

Arenas replied, “The only team that can pull that, the only person that has that kinda power will be LeBron. He’s not gonna go anywhere else. It’s going to be San Francisco or coming to the Lakers.
