Draymond Green found himself in another controversial issue just six months after being gravely criticized for his violent dispute with teammate Jordan Poole. The Golden State Warriors star faced a one-game suspension after he stomped on Sacramento Kings player Domantas Sabonis during Game 2 of the Warriors’ playoffs series against the Kings. While many agreed with the league’s decision, others did not take it too well. As the NBA world ponders over the dispute, an NBA analyst recently gave his take on the incident, while citing the Jordan Poole sage.
In October 2022, TMZ released a video taken during the Warriors’ practice session that shocked the sports community. The short clip showed Green punching Jordan Poole seconds after the latter shoved Green away from him. Following the incident, Green was fined by the league for his actions but was spared a suspension.

Shortly after the league suspended Draymond Green, many fans and NBA enthusiasts voiced their disagreements. Many believed that the ruling was a little too extreme. To get a better understanding of the entire situation, the host of The Rich Eisen Show invited NBA on TNT game analyst Jim Jackson to share his views on the controversial incident.
Jackson, who was present during the Game 2 commotion, stated that when he saw Green stomp on Domantas Sabonis, he immediately knew it would result in a flagrant foul. Jackson added that he understood the conflict that people had regarding the league’s decision to suspend Green. However, he reflected on the Warriors star’s dispute with Poole and indicated that Green’s ‘history’ probably played a part in determining the consequences of his action.
He said, “But it’s Draymond Green. As much as he gets benefits of the doubt in regards to maybe, being a little bit more demonstrative in his arguments with the officials or stuff like that. And that’s a long line, in regards to how they allow him to speak to them.”
The veteran analyst continued, “But then there’s the other side of it too, which is the history part of what has happened with Draymond that comes back to haunt him as well. So you can’t have one without the other. And this time, the other was the suspension part that Adam Silver handed down based on, you know, history of what happened in the arena.”
