Ben Simmons is persona non grata in the city of Philadelphia. He has been heavily criticized for last season’s playoff loss. Simmons’s hesitancy to shoot in the fourth quarter was one of the main reasons the Sixers lost to the Atlanta Hawks.
Simmons had fallen out with the team and management and he didn’t join the team when they started training camp. He didn’t play a single minute all year long, and the Sixers had withheld part of his salary for not joining the team. The fans weren’t pleased with his behavior and they were trashing him on social media at every opportunity. Finally, Ben Simmons got his wish when he was traded on the deadline day to the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets got Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and a couple of picks in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap.
Kevin Hart, a comedian and actor, is from Philadelphia and he is a huge fan of the Philadelphia 76ers. He is also noted for talking trash to opposing players and he has said he is a Sixers fan for life. He had something to say about the biggest trade of the season.
