The Los Angeles Lakers will a team to keep an eye on this season. Not only were they active in the off season, but they have some big names that will share the court. However, one major concern they will have to worry about is big man Anthony Davis and his injury concerns.

Going into their playoff battle with Phoenix last season. Davis picked up a groin injury. While this kept him out for most of the series, he returned for a game in between. But that did not go as planned for AD. A couple of minutes into the game, he went to the floor and further aggravated his injury.

Vogel gives encouraging update on Anthony Davis

Recently, the Lakers started off with their training and Davis was present at the practice facility. It was during this time that Vogel saw clear improvements in AD’s health since last season. While speaking, he said that he expects the Lakers to have a great season because of how Davis has recovered.

He said: “He put a lot of work this offseason into his body. A lot of work. And we had a moment, maybe two weeks ago, where he had been training at home, and we had a conversation about ‘these are some of the concerns we have with our team, we think we’re good here, we think we’re good there,’ and then he comes in for a workout, and it was the first time we had kind of seen him for a while, and his body looked imposing.”

Vogel further added: “We all just looked at each other like we’re gonna be really good this year.’ Just looking at that guy right there, we’re gonna be really good this year.” This is encouraging news for Lakers fans all around. Recently, Davis changed his trainer and the effects are clear as day.
