Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has always received support from his teammates, who also look up to him as an experienced Warrior. However, he has had a rocky relationship with a former teammate and didn’t receive an invitation to the ex-Warrior’s wedding. Green did not have a great relationship with the now-Detroit Pistons player Harrison Barnes. The four-time All-Star believed that he wasn’t invited due to a personal grudge. Green disclosed that Barnes didn’t invite him to his wedding in an episode of The Draymond Green Show?that came out last year. The four-time champion said, “Harrison Barnes, I think to this day don?t like me for KD coming here.”?

Barnes had to be traded to the Dallas Mavericks when Kevin Durant arrived in 2016. Apparently, the 2015 NBA champion didn’t like it and therefore proceeded to hold a grudge against the 2017 DPOY. However, Green cleared that he didn’t insist the Warriors’ general manager, Bob Myers acquire KD in 2016.

The four-time All-Star added on his podcast, “He took it very personally because of that story that came out that I cried to KD in the car. He took it very personally at me. This dude invites Steph, Klay, everybody to his wedding except me.” In 2016, Barnes was unable to acknowledge the fact that the four-time All-Star didn’t play any role in bringing Durant into the Warriors.

Therefore, he hasn’t been able to mend his relationship with him till now. Green, on the other hand, felt slighted as his teammates were invited but he wasn’t due to the false allegation. 2016 NBA champion and analyst Richard Jefferson replied to Green to add insult to injury. He said, “I even got an invite (laughing emoji)”
