When it comes to LA Clippers‘ Paul George, the trolling just keeps on coming. Well, nobody can blame NBA fans for taking shots at him, because he literally gives everyone reasons to do so. Everyone’s perspective of George changed after his terrible performance in the Orlando Bubble last season. For him to not stand up as the best wing defender was a shock.

The new season should have been a shot at redemption for him. To make sure the Clippers fans believe in him again. But despite putting up staggering numbers on the scoreboard, George pulled off another embarrassing stunt when playing against the Lakers.

Last season, the Clippers were title favorites, and the popular demand was that they should be up against the Lakers in the Conference Finals. However, the reality was far more different. Instead, they left the postseason way before it was anticipated at the hands of an underdog team like the Denver Nuggets.

So, what was George’s fault in all of this? Well, everyone believes that because of him not stepping up when needed, the Clippers ended up losing their 3-1 lead to the Nuggets. This was Denver’s second triumph over a team that was holding a two-game lead against them. If things could get worse, George was also reportedly in a heated locker room argument with teammate Montrezl Harrell.

The Clippers’ star makes a blind pass

And now, George has done it again while playing against the Lakers in their season opener. After they turned the ball over, the team made sure the ball reached their best player. But somehow, Paul assumed that he had a teammate on his right and made a pass there. With nobody to receive the ball, it went out where the referee was standing.

This took Twitter by storm and someone even wrote, “This isn’t Paul George’s fault, the ref should have his hands up ready to shoot.”

But the stunning performance overshadowed this silly mistake. Along with Kawhi Leonard, George led the Clippers to a win against the Lakers that finished with a score of 116-109. George was the lead scorer for them and recorded 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. This is enough to shut all the hate that people throw at him.

Despite all the criticism, the Clippers have started the season with a bang. But how long will they be able to keep this up? Can they rely on PG for all the games?
