Attention Lakers Nation, Rajon Rondo is set to return to the Purple and Gold! Following a brief hiatus of sorts where Rondo moved around the league from Atlanta to even the Clippers, he’s home. Playoff Rondo was pivotal for L.A. as they bulldozed the league en route their 17th championship.

Amidst last year’s chaos, did Rajon just pull a fast one on the L.A. Clippers, who traded away former sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams to sign the veteran? The PG as a Clipper in 2021 was nowhere near his best, as all he brought to the Clippers was confrontation! Following a trade and then a buyout, he is likely to return to the LakeShow once he clears waivers on Monday.

Apart from his game winning assist against Denver, reports also surfaced that LA’s defensive strategy in the title clincher was designed by Rondo himself! Also possessing a high basketball IQ, floor general Rondo ran the Lakers’ offense without LeBron on the floor, averaging 8.9ppg/6.6apg on 40% shooting from 3.

How will Rondo fare in his second stint with the Purple and Gold? If, in fact, he does help the Lakers in winning that lucrative 18th title, there’s no doubt that the future Hall of Famer will go down in the record books as part of both Celtics and Lakers history!
