Speaking of this year’s NBA campaigns, the Brooklyn Nets’ season did not exactly go according to plan. With countless hurdles and roster changes coming their way, the team failed to perform and advance in the postseason. Now, while fans seem to hope for a return next season, not everyone seems ready to forget their round 1 playoff sweep against the Boston Celtics.

Social media has been equal amounts of disappointed and amused at the Nets’ performance, clearly hoping for a better result. This seems to include NBA on TNT, who took it to another level by roasting the Nets on Twitter.

The show shared a hilarious clip online, which even defended Charles Barkley and his claims about Kevin Durant. Fans, as a result, remained thoroughly amused.

Shortly after the Nets loss, Barkley went on record to talk about Durant, referring to players like him as ‘bus riders’. As per Barkley, as long as one is driving the bus, winning a title means nothing.

NBA on TNT’s video was a reflection of Barkley’s thoughts, where he is the one driving the bus with the Nets team aboard. At one point, the bus stops so Ben Simmons can get on. An amazing edit of the original scene from The Office (TV Show) was an immediate favorite amongst fans, many reacting with their own fun memes and reactions.

Overall, fans seemed excited about the edit, especially as a popular scene from a popular sitcom was involved. Many even added that whoever made that tweet must have surely gotten a raise, especially with the response NBA on TNT has received on social media. Many even demanded to meet the mastermind behind the video, especially since it was so popular.

Irrespective of how fans reacted, Durant seemed to have his reaction ready. He shared photos of Barkley and the Rockets, who were also eliminated during the first round like the Nets. However, in comparison, one can say that Barkley’s Rockets with Scottie Pippen and Hakeem Olajuwon were not exactly at their best.

The Nets, on their end, were supposed to be at their peak with Durant and Kyrie Irving. Unfortunately, the playoffs seemed to work against them. It was also a shock for a few, who believed KD would bounce back and pull off a deep playoff run.
