And it was all thanks to a stellar performance from Chris Paul, who put the Suns on his back. He went off in the series clincher game as NBA fans were left in disbelief of the 37-year-old’s takeover.

For the longest time, Paul has been regarded as one of the best leaders in basketball. The now Suns guard just knows how to make his surroundings better. Likewise, he has done the same thing with the Phoenix Suns. The arrival of CP3 completely transformed the Suns from a young team to legit contenders in a matter of one season. While age has sure had a toll on his scoring, Paul has a knack for stepping up in the big moments.

Chris Paul puts the Suns on his back

The Suns have had a tough outing against the 8th seeded Pelicans. Losing out on Devin Booker made things really tough. However, with the pressure raised up high, Paul stepped in to help. His performance in Game 6 against the Pelicans saw fans drooling as he mesmerized yet again. The 37-year-old keeps shocking the NBA world, and tonight was no different.

While Booker made his return, it was Paul who took the offensive load for the night. His sensational performance saw the Suns power through the Pelicans in an extremely competitive game.

When it comes to getting the job done, last season was proof that Paul has still got it. Going up against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, he put on a masterclass exploding for 41 points to close out the conference finals. Now, this time around, he chose to do it much earlier. With Booker being on a minutes restriction, CP3 took scoring onto himself. The point guard went on to score 33 points in the series clincher. Moreover, he set a record, making 14 consecutive shots without missing all game long.

His mammoth effort in the series clincher gave the Suns an edge in the 115-109 win over the Pelicans. CP3 went on to do a further 10 points in the 4th quarter as well proving he has ice in his veins.
