Chris Paul, the point god is amidst another run towards the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns. Last year they went through the western conference convincingly and even had a 2-0 lead in the finals before Giannis took over the series and the Bucks won in 6. This year the Subs have been even more dominant. They just closed their first round series against the pelicans with CP3 going 14-14 from the field.

Chris was lauded for his performance, but it seems one man was not impressed. Shaq, the legendary Lakers center, goes on his podcast every week to talk about anything and everything. When asked about Cp3’s performance, Shaq had a muted reaction to it. He said” If I am the point god, aint I suppose to have games like this…….. The ultimate point is not finished…Win a championship.” Shaq has a point that if ultimately the Suns fail to win a championship this season, then this game will just be another footnote in the season. And with Paul already 37 he will not have many more opportunities.

The team responded by going to its first NBA Finals since 1993.

They had a commanding 2-0 in the NBA Finals and looked primed to win the franchise’s first NBA Championship. But they couldn’t close out the Bucks in the remainder of the series and on the back of Giannis’s fifty point performance, the Bucks won the Finals in six games on their home court.

With CP3 finally getting into his groove and Devin Booker also back healthy, the Suns are primed to reach the NBA Finals from the western conference. And with last years experience on their mind, they will look to finally get over the hump and win a title.
