Kyrie Irving perhaps had no idea that his recent promotion of a movie would turn his life into a daily nightmare. First, things began with the promotion of a movie that contained antisemitic notions that landed him in the office of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. In addition, between these occurrences, there was international condemnation and large fines, he was banned by the Brooklyn Nets for games, and several of his endorsement deals were terminated. But now, LeBron James, who has previously spoken out about the incident, believes Irving has done enough. Furthermore, fans were taken aback when they heard LeBron’s comments.

Despite the fact that his five-game suspension is over, Irving had to wait to return to the court because of the six?steps put in by the Brooklyn Nets that Irving must complete. The Los Angeles Lakers great previously spoke about Irving’s controversy saying, “I believe what Kyrie did caused some harm to a lot of people,? he said. James added that promoting anything which hampers the sentiments and beliefs of people should be kept away from the game. He clarified further that he doesn’t condone or promote it.

Kyrie Irving eventually accepted responsibility for his tweet, after initially defending his actions. He later apologized and pledged that similar situations would not happen again.
Fans didn’t seem to like LeBron James’ support for his former teammate
LeBron James?recently came in support of his former teammate Kyrie Irving. The duo won the 2016 NBA championship together while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In addition, King James tweeted on 11th November, saying, “I told you guys that I don?t believe in sharing hurtful information. And I?ll continue to be that way but Kyrie apologized and he should be able to play. That?s what I think. It?s that simple. Help him learn- but he should be playing. What he?s asked to do to get back on the floor I think is excessive IMO. He?s not the person that?s being portrayed of him. Anyways back to my rehab session.”?
In the comments section, there seems to be a rift of views among the fans. Some fans are in disbelief at LeBron’s comments, as one of them said, “Checked 5 times because I thought this was fake.”

It will be interesting to see if other players speak up now, either in further support of Irving or to condemn his actions even more. LeBron James’ comments may have opened the gates to further speculation of Irving’s future with the Brooklyn Nets as well.
