Ideally, it takes a lot of thought and consideration to rank NBA players because there are many different elements to take into account. Several variables are considered while identifying the top players in NBA history, including individual statistics, team success, impact on the game, skill set, versatility, and leadership. These rankings are subjective, and they often spark heated debates among fans and professionals alike. Each person may prioritize different components and place a higher value on some skills than others.
However, as per the said list posted on Twitter by ‘NBA World’ who asked ChatGPT for the ‘Top 50 players in NBA History”, Michael Jordan is not the GOAT, as it ranks him as number 2, one place above Shaquille O’Neal. That wasn’t even the worst part about it. Fans on Twitter went berserk after seeing Charles Barkley above Kobe, who is at #14.
Many believed that Kobe Bryant, a basketball icon who left an unforgettable mark on the sport, rightfully deserves his place among the top 5 greatest players of all time. His unparalleled accomplishments and unmatched skill set solidify his status as a true legend of the game. With five NBA championships to his name, including two consecutive titles as the team’s leader, Bryant showcased his ability to dominate on the grandest stage and lead his team to victory. This particular entry seemed to irk fans the most, and they let their feelings known on Twitter.
Fans thrash ChatGPT for “Questionable Picks”
While some fans liked seeing LeBron James on the top, most of them weren’t so appreciative. One fan even said, “If Kobe ain’t top 3, throw your list away.” Here are a few more reactions from the NBA world:

ChatGPT can't pass the eye test only stats. So it can't identify the most athletic defenders. However LBJ as #1 I can get behind that idea.
