Charles Oakley is an unsung hero for the Bulls. He was part of the team led by Jordan from 1985 to 1988 before moving to the Knicks. The two developed a good relationship during their time in Chicago, which is evident from one of the stories in Oakley’s new book.

Charles Oakley reveals how Michael Jordan revealed him
During a game involving the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks, Charles Oakley got into trouble. While the match was going on, Oakley had an altercation with a fan near Knicks team owner James Dolan.
He was quickly pulled away from his seat by the security officials before being handed over to the police. This incident happened during the first quarter of the Knicks 119-115 loss to the Clippers.
Talking about the incident during an interview, Oakley mentioned how Jordan made sure he gets out of trouble. Charles Oakley said, “He [Phil Jackson] was like what’s going on? I was like, ask your boss. And then Worldwide Wes coming, “I got Michael Jordan on the phone.” I said I’m handcuffed put him on speaker.“
He then talks about the wild moment when Jordan called, “I said something funny. I’m like don’t talk, come and get me. And about 12:30 and 1 they let me out.”
After this incident, Oakley decided to file a lawsuit against Madison Square Garden, which was reportedly dismissed by a federal judge.

Michael Jordan ended his spectacular career with the Washington Wizards where he reunited with former Chicago Bulls teammate Charles Oakley.

While playing with Jordan, Oakley averaged 11.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 224 games. Jordan on the other hand averaged an incredible 32.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in 224 games.
