To do that, he switched his jersey number from 34 to 32, which was Magic’s number. However, the #32 jersey was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers in honor of Sixers legend, Billy Cunningham. Although it was after Cunningham’s approval, fans weren’t too pleased with it. Nonetheless, the Chuckster faced the wrath of fans and wore the number only for that season. One fan, however, has a different perspective of Barkley.

Barkley’s real side helped him earn a fan for life. While answering a Twitter thread about celebrities, a fan commented that Chuck is among the nicest people ever. The fan said, “Charles Barkley so so super nice. All the man wants is for people to talk to him like he?s a regular human being.”
