Charles Barkley threatens to slap media personalities over GOAT debate
In the post-game broadcast of the 2018 Finals, Charles Barkley expressed his disappointment with LeBron James and the Cavaliers. The former Suns forward thought that James’ lack of desire to compete defined the series.
In other words, Barkley believed that the Cavs superstar’s “passiveness” drained the energy out of the home team. “That left me mad more than anything,” the veteran broadcaster didn’t hesitate to vent his frustration.
Meanwhile, Barkley also warned reporters and media members against comparing LeBron James with Michael Jordan. As it turns out, the 59-year-old wouldn’t mind using violence against anybody attempting such a thing.
“I’m just gonna slap the hell out of em, right on the spot,” Barkley said. “And I will take my chances with the judicial system,” he added.
Barkley’s unique sense of humor is well-known in the NBA world. Therefore, nobody thought twice about taking his warning seriously. Instead, co-hosts Chris Webber and Grant Hill immediately started laughing.
