In the past few months, the NBA world has been busy covering the Ben Simmons story. Fans are hooked to the next move in this saga and it’s a controversy that continues to dominate headlines. The question is, where will Philadelphia send their defensive All-Star? Well, pundits are up on debate surrounding this.

The Ben Simmons tale began during the 2021 postseason’s Eastern Conference Semifinals. It was Hawks vs Sixers and the seven-game series turned thrilling by the end of it. Simmons passed up a dunk opportunity in clutch moments of game 7, and Philadelphia’s playoff run ended.

After this incident, there have been many turns to this story. While Simmons formed a salty relationship with his teammates and the 76ers management, the DPOY contender requested a trade from Philadelphia. The 76ers front office hasn’t been able to find a deal for Simmons yet, and in turn, he has also missed several practices. Fined for his recent blemishes with the team, Simmons is now hanging in an awkward position.

Barkley believes that Nets and Sixers should make a deal for a Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons swap. While Nets’ Big 2 Kevin Durant and James Harden will be thrashing opponents offensively, Simmons can handle the defensive arena. On the other hand, Sixers will find suitable support for Joel Embiid in Irving.

Barkley said, “Yes, I would do that deal right away. I think it would benefit both teams.”

Irving, Durant, and Harden suffice a superstar blockbuster show on the court. While Irving is not seen much on the court these days, the other two are doing their job well.
