The one called Round Mound of Rebound, Charles Barkley has a complete disinterest in celebrating Christmas.

Charles has a unique personality and is not shy of speaking out of his heart, whether it is on social media or on-screen. In a recent show, he did openly criticized the LA Lakers star, Anthony Davis for underperforming this season. Meanwhile, it is not just the performance of the player that is complained of, Charles has a way different aspect as well.

In 2015, with an appearance on ESPN’s Mike & Mike, which was a radio show, he revealed his dislikes for the festival. Charles shared his views on Santa Claus saying, “Santa Claus has cleaned me out today…this is the last time I’m celebrating Christmas, I’m canceling it next year”.

The basketball analyst of TNT “Inside the NBA” once said “It’s just a big waste of money. When you’re black and rich, everybody thinks they’re a part of your family. Everybody is a relative. Everybody wants a really nice gift. One year you buy them a house, the next year you buy them a car, the next year you buy them a sweater”.

“They look at you like, ‘You only got me a sweater?’”, when asked about the way he wants to celebrate Christmas.

However, from all these statements, it seems that Barkley is not a huge fan of festive games and celebrations.

Charles Barkley Is Not Fond of Christmas Celebrations Anymore

Earlier, in the same interview with ESPN, on the same question, Charles Barkley expressed a few genuine facts that make him spend more on such occasions.

The two-time gold medalist for the United States dream team ponders that the children want the magic of Santa Claus and it certainly has to be bestowed on them.

Besides, it is one of the most entertaining times of the season if the games are scheduled on Christmas Day. For a few, such games are remembered forever.
