Charles Barkley’s daughter Christiana called him out on International Mother’s Day for his bizarre and hilarious claim regarding childbirth. Christiana, a new mother celebrating her very first mother’s day, had a serious point of contention with her father trying to downplay the pain of childbirth.
Charles Barkley, along with Shaquille O’Neal, is the centerpiece of TNT’s Inside the NBA. In fact, a lot of people tune in to the show to witness Charles’ jokes, jibes, and pranks in real-time. The banter that goes on between Shaq and Charles Barkley is one of the chief attractions of the show.

However, Barkley’s jokes can sometimes test the limits of political correctness. Therefore, people can often get offended by the things he says on the show and sometimes they call him out on it like his daughter Christiana did.
Charles Barkley gets a surprise message from his daughter on mother’s day
The Inside the NBA crew celebrated International Mother’s Day on the second week of May this year by holding a quiz contest between the hosts of the show. The questions of the contest were to be provided by the mothers of the production staff.
Meanwhile, a member of the crew on maternity leave asked a question. Afterward, Barkley commented on the timing of her pregnancy and said that she had a ‘strategic baby’ to avoid working during the hectic playoffs. Ernie responded to the accusation, saying, “That’s not the most controversial thing you’ve ever said about motherhood“.

Then he proceeded to play an old clip of Chuck saying, “Women be milking that baby pain too. It can’t be nearly as bad as playing a basketball game with a sprained ankle“.
The entire crew burst into laughter. Interestingly enough, to Chuck’s surprise, a recorded message from her daughter Christiana popped up on the screen. She addressed Charles’ previous comments on motherhood holding her baby boy Henry in her lap.

In fact, she called playing a basketball game with a sprained ankle the equivalent of a “spa treatment” compared to the pain of childbirth. Moreover, she pointed out that a basketball game lasts only 48 minutes while she had to endure labor pain for 48 hours.
Chuck backtracks on his claims
Christiana’s logical explanation forced Chuck to backtrack on his claims. However, he didn’t apologize.
