Charles makes a huge tribute to LeBron James about leading a straight life. Chuck has been in the league for a long time, therefore, he has seen the revolution take place. With rich athletes having the reputation of being ‘bad boys’, there is a stereotypical assumption of all the bad that comes with fame and money.
However, Chuck believes that ‘The King’ is unique in this regard. “I think he has had the most incredible career under that intense pressure. Coming into the NBA at 18, he has never been arrested. Never embarrassed himself or his family.” Charles believes that LeBron has not only been the greatest on the court but off the court too, he has proved himself to be an all-around wholesome athlete.
Chuck also makes a statement regarding how easy it is to embarrass oneself in today’s society. “Everyone is trying to get you,” says Chuck. “He has never come close to getting in trouble. I think in today’s society that is amazing.”
LeBron has a lot of haters, people try to get at him all the time. However, there is not a single stain on his reputation.
