Records are broken every other day. What’s more important is raising the bar higher and unreachable every time it is broken. This inspires and motivates the newcomers to understand what it takes to reach a record-breaking status. LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers who stunned the world by passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar continues to increase the bar for the other players.

As much as the fans credit the 38-year-old, equal credit must go to the NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for setting the record high. Former NBA veteran Charles Barkley of the Phoenix Suns, in his recent interview on a late-night talk show, had a special request to the fans and the NBA.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar disrespects Charles Barkley during All-Star weekend

In the very same interview, Barkley shared a hilarious experience he had with the former Laker. Kimmel asks Chuck, “What was the first time you met Kareem?”. Barkley goes on to share his experience, “Yeah it wasn’t a good time. At the All-Star game, all the guys get together in a room beforehand. So Kareem is sitting in a corner. I’m with Bird, Mikhail, and Karl Malone and I said ‘I have never met Kareem before’. They are like ‘Go up and say hello to him’. He’s sitting over the corner by himself with his head down, got a book. And I walk over and said, ‘Hey Mr. Jabbar, can I talk to you?’. He looks up, ‘I’m reading’. I turn around, these fools laughing at me.” The audience loved Barkley’s experience with Kareem.
