It likely came off as disrespectful to the former number two pick. However, Brown is not ready to move on. Being involved in trade talks hasn’t changed his intentions of making the Boston Celtics the kings of the NBA once again.

Jaylen Brown is not fazed by Kevin Durant rumors

While Brown had made his intentions clear, Boston may need to go back to the drawing board as well. Chasing Kevin Durant is arguably never the wrong move. However, the Celtics have probably one of the finest cores in the NBA right now. All of their stars are extremely young and far from their prime. Brown is just 25 and has proved he can deliver on the big stage. There is no doubt that he has a lot of growth to do. But Boston can easily build around Tatum and Brown.

Moreover, they have valuable pieces around such as Smart and Robert Williams. after falling short of the title last season, it’s clear the Boston Celtics are desperate to make it back. And building around their current core could be the best option.
