J.J Reddick asked Marcus about how he makes the decision of flopping. “When do you make that decision? Like, you know what? My flop here I’m gonna run into Pascal Siakam and jump seven feet that way”. Marcus explains that it is more of a matter of strategy.

Marcus reveals that it is all about taking advantage of the challenge rule that the NBA has introduced. If Marcus flops in a key play and a charging foul is granted in his favor, then the opponents are sure to challenge the call. However, if the call is not overturned, Marcus ends up with the possession, and the opponent team is down one challenge.
