There has been chaos in Brooklyn ever since the beginning of the NBA off-season. A team that had it all could lose it in a flash. It all started when the Lakers crawled up in hopes to get Kyrie Irving. However, the Brooklyn Nets got the biggest blow weeks later when Kevin Durant spoke out. The Slim Reaper requested a trade after failing to make any success.

Now, the 12-time All-Star is sparking major interest from the team that humiliated the Nets; Boston Celtics. And an upset Jaylen Brown may be the one on the chopping block.

The Celtics made headway last season by getting back to the finals stage. The most successful franchise in the history of the NBA came through with a young group. And at the core are there to All-Stars, Jayson Tatum, and Brown. Many doubted if the duo could ever succeed as teammates.

However, after an enthralling journey to the NBA finals, the Celtics seemed to be in good hands. But when the biggest mismatch is on the market, all plans fly out of the window.

While there is no clarity, JB might have given the NBA fanbase a major hint. The Celtics All-Star sent out an upsetting tweet at the height of a possible KD trade to Boston.

Is Jaylen Brown the one to go for Kevin Durant?

During the playoffs, both Tatum and Brown proved their potential as a duo. Despite being young in their careers, they put the city of Boston on their backs. And they didn’t take much time to assert their will on the Nets. Despite having the duo of Kyrie and Durant, the Celtics were a force.

All it took was four games for the Celtics duo to break down two of the best scorers in the league. Tatum put up nearly 30 points per game while Brown contributed with a handy 22 points. However, while they beat Durant, the front office knows just how valuable the former MVP is to any organization.

Major rumors of KD making his way to Boston are rising up. And just one question came to mind, who will the Celtics offer. And in the heights of a superstar swap, it seems Brown could be packing his bags. The Celtics star sent out a cryptic tweet saying, “Smh,” (Shaking My Head).

Nothing is official just yet, but the Celtics could be going in the wrong direction. After all the doubt around their duo, both Tatum and Brown did their job. At 33, Durant doesn’t have much time at the top. However, Brown is just 25 years old. He is constantly evolving his game and taking it to new heights. Moreover, he fits the Celtics’ system perfectly. As an athletic guard, Brown is a crafty scorer putting up 23 points per game. The pair of him and Jayson Tatum have only just started their journey together. Undoubtedly, they are the future of the city.

On the other hand, there is also a side where Durant would make them instant threats. The four-time scoring champion showed no signs of slowing down, averaging almost 30 points every night during the regular season. Putting him on the best defensive team in the league would shift the power scales completely.
